We have the pleasure of inviting you to attend the 17th International Symposium on Endoscopic Ultrasonography - EUS2010, which will be held in Shanghai on 12 - 14 November, 2010. Held every two years alternating between Europe, the USA, and Japan since the 11th Kyoto Meeting, this symposium is being hosted by China for the first time.           One of the important topics in EUS2010 is “Education”. We plan to provide a variety of scientific programs and hands-on sessions including EUS-guided FNA. Also, we plan to hold discussions with experts on advanced EUS techniques such as interventional EUS. In addition, live demonstrations will be transmitted from the Changhai Hospital in Shanghai. We hope to see many colleagues participate in this invaluable and practical program.                  Scheduled to host the Expo 2010 World's Fair between May and October 2010, Shanghai is an emerging tourist destination renowned for its historical landmarks such as the Bund - the city's famous waterfront.
